Finding good light during the day helps to make a great photo but sometimes night shots turns an ordinary looking scene into a beautiful one. After all those lit-lights are suppose to be there to make the buildings look more pretty 😉
The above is St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Montreal. When I got there, it was too late to go inside but it was still magnificent from the outside too!
One thing that makes night shots interesting is the fact that most of them will have to be taken on a ‘long exposure’. Such images are unfamiliar to most people and I guess the sense of ‘smoothness’ is what catches the eyes.
Even when you are taking snapshots, ambient lights provided by artificial light sources help to create the mood 🙂
